Set default attribute without spending character points.
 

I am attempting to create GURPS Lite in Hero Lab using the authoring kit and have hit a small issue.

I need to be able to have the attributes (ST, DX, IQ and HT) start at a default value of 10. Now I have managed to get this to work, but they are done as an increase from 1 which costs character points. So my character point total goes into negative.

How can I set the default value of the attributes to 10 without spending any character points?

Look at the attribute component in the traits.str file. One of the scripts on that controls the number of character points that each point of attribute costs. Change the equation on that, so that it's calculating the correct values for your system.
