Trying to Equip the collar of true companion

I've purchased the Ultimate Equipment guide and I'm trying to equip the item, but I can't find it in the magic items list. If I open the editor, I can see the item there in Hero Lab. Is there some kind of limiting factor that won't let me equip or even see the item? My character is a level 9 ranger/falconer and I'm trying to equip it on my animal companion, an eagle.

CTL-K to bring up the Configure Hero menu, then scroll down and look for Ultimate Equipment, and make sure it's checked. That's the most common cause of a problem like this.
