Regarding the content market:

Some publishers, for example Paizo, publish multiple "versions" of the same information over time. Deities of the Golarion setting, for example, have been expanded from 1/2-page briefs to 16-page articles. There are also separate player-oriented products and GM-oriented products that contain more complete information than the Player-oriented versions (such as the Inner Sea Primer / Inner Sea World Guide, and the Dragon Empires Primer / Dragon Empires Gazetteer pairs). Some discussion around the time of the kickstarter for RealmWorks talked about how such might integrate, but knowing the current thinking and what to expect would be nice.

During the video you make the point that PDF's/books are good for the first read through of material but RW is better "at the table." I agree wholeheartedly and after doing data entry of modules for a publisher I have come to believe that having both versions is best.

Will the Content Market only sell the RW version of the product or will buying the products involved include the option to buy the PDF as well? It shouldn't be bundled together automatically for when people already own the PDF but will it be an option?

Nice intro to the series. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes in the future.

@Silveras and @kbs666, great questions! I'll keep these in mind as we put together future episodes. :)

Other than Pathfinder, will any other games be available on the Content Market? (D&D, Shadowrun, WOD)

4 quick questions.

1.) Will the Realm version have any new material such as content, graphics, etc. not fount in the print or PDF versions of a product?

2.) Aside from just realm versions of books will things like realm templates and other things to help a user in creating their own Realm be available?

3.) How will content work if a GM wishes to use an adventure or product in multiple realms for multiple groups of players he or she may have? Can you also just have the default content somewhere if you need to ever view the original.

4.) Will content that is released for use in more than one system have any of the additions, etc. that may be found in just the original version that came for one system or will it also aside from just including stats and additional rules, incorporate other material found in a version that was released for another system?

Some times this is art but other times it can be big sections of additional background notes, etc. that are found in a system specific version of a product that has been made in versions created for use with other systems.

So for example, you may have a picture of a NPC in one version of the product, but not in another version made for a different system.

The Kickstarter content includes adventures and settings that use Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, FATE, and no system at all, along with systemless GM helpers.

Some quick answers from a frequent user:

1 and 4 depend on the content creator.

Users can create 2 if they want, so yes. For example, I believe it's in the best interest of the folks with freely licensable systems to make a rules realm available and base their content on that, but if they don't the community could always create one and base their creations on it.

3 is answered in the Cloud Services FAQ.

If you're paying for Cloud Service, you can incorporate pieces of shared content into new and existing realms, whether the content is yours or something you've bought. If the original isn't already viewable in your list of realms, you could create a new realm and merge in that piece of content to view it.

If you're not paying for Cloud Service, you can duplicate realms to see them or use them for your campaign (while keeping the original intact) but you can't merge them or keep up with changes in the original.

I'm sure the LWD folks might expand on these, but hopefully this is a useful start.

Had another question after looking closely at 2 Spotlight videos and webpage versions of them about one the products being shown in them.

Will the Pirates Guide to Freeport have all the FATE conversions for the characters, monsters, the FATE specific notes for the Fury in Freeport adventure and the other FATE conversion material from the FATE Freeport Companion in it?

I'm asking this cause in the 1st two Spotlights you can see both Pathfinder and FATE material on the Pirates Guide to Freeport content Realm, but you don't see some specific FATE infformation and content that ought to be inserted if it is a dual stat product.

Some examples of this I noticed from the pictures from the last, number 2, Spotlight:

1.) In the the Getiing Started(Sc.1) in 2. Setup it gives how Pathfinder characters can get Beedle to go up to 50% of what he gets, but doesn't give that in FATE this is with Good (+3) social outcome actions. (This is given pg. 157 of the FATE Freeport Compainon in the FATE version of the adventure.)

So some slight modification of that snipet's text would need to be done to incorportate both systems.

2.) The FATE Freeport companion has a picture of Beedle in it on page 156, but I don't see the picture in the Freeport Denzins entry of him that is shown off in the 2nd Spotlight images.

Regarding the Content Market and HeroLab integration:

Portfolios stored in RealmWorks can become harder to use when the HeroLab format changes. For example, the "View" option ceases to work, and portfolio must be opened, edited, and saved in order to update it. This is, presumably, due to format changes in the portfolio files as HeroLab saves them.

For the purposes of the Content Market, is this going to be an issue going forward?

One of RealmWorks' strengths is being able to store a portfolio in the topic for an encounter. If it becomes necessary to update each one manually because the HeroLab format has changed, that will become an inhibitor to using them in this way.
