Creating Links on the Fly
Some time has passed since I've needed to make links within text that I'm editing, but I thought there was an ability to highlight text, select for a link to be made, and the text highlighted was used for the new page. Did I dream that or did we lose that?

There is a short-cut key that creates a topic from the selected text (ctrl+Q?)

ctrl-Q

As others have posted CTRL+Q allows you to quickly create a NEW topic/article from highlighted text. But it will not create a link until after you save the new topic/article and then make an update to the source topic/article and save that.
If you are talking about manually linking text to an existing topic/article, you simply highlight the text you want to link from and right-click. In the context menu there will be options for linking that text to an existing topic/article. |

I wonder which combination works. :-) (I'm just pleased that I remembered the combination.) |
