Alchemist Favored Class Options
 

I'm currently trying to add a Favored Class Option for a Lesser Derro Alchemist (KP Advanced Races Compendium) to add +10 minutes to mutagen duration. There is an identical ability for Drow in the Advanced Race guide, so I am using that as my model.

And, well, it just doesn't give me the selectable option for said Lesser Derro. I'm guessing that I'm missing something obvious. Any ideas

FCB have to be bootstrapped to something. Normally this is done on the race or class. Assuming you have no access to those you will need to make a new Mechanic (General->Mechanics editor tab) and bootstrap your new FCB to it.

Make sure you do a CTRL-R to reload HL to get the new mechanic to load.

I don't have access to the class, but I do for the race... so that's doable. Where am I likely to find an example bootstrap.

Edit: Reading Mathias' bootstrap tutorial right now...

If you have access to the race then its really easy. Go to "Race->Race" and look for "Favored Class Options" (near the top of options) and click on the Blue Button. Then find the one you want to add and check mark it. The editor will correctly bootstrap it for you. :)

Okay, I'm back. That was it, but I'm hitting an infinite loop timing issue with my favored class option thing once I have bootstrapped it. I'm using what Hero Lab assigns, AND it's the same phase and priority as the Drow Alchemist ability.

Any ideas, I'm stumped?
