AMD vs Intel?

Not that I've seen. I wouldn't expect much in the way of fancy processor optimization out of Realm Works as it's a pretty standard desktop .NET application.

Have you been seeing something weird?

There really shouldn't be any difference. RW is a .Net application which is meant to run in Windows on top of any PC CPU. It's been a long time since I've seen any issue with an AMD chip running anything.

Actually, Intel or AMD, if your buying and using any modern x64 CPU, it runs AMD64T microcode.

Both are good CPUs in their own right. I have run RW on my AMD APU, my Intel i7s, and i5s with the same results.

However I am %99 sure RW is a single thread, so faster cores are better then more cores.

If this a purchase question, what are you thinking of?
If this is a "hmm I have an issue" question, what is it?

Some really helpful smart folks here.

If the OP is the same person as reached out to us with a support ticket, I believe the concern stems from the wording of our system requirements. We list a Pentium 4 as the minimum processor. However, any AMD equivalent or better works just as well.
