View Full Version : Tried updating to new version now herolab does not work

After trying to install the new update I get a page to activate my license. i follow the steps then I get a message stating the LWD Server is not reachable. i do have internet connection at this time. The program worked 3 days ago. Thanks

I've just double-checked, and no problems updating my license here. Please give it another try - do you still run into the problem?

I am getting the same issue after upgrading to 6.1a. I am able to browse to the license management website manually, but cannot activate my license from within HeroLab.

OK - I discovered that for some reason Norton 360 is blocking HeroLab.exe from accessing the internet, even though I have a Firewall exception for the application. If I turn off Norton 360 it could activate the license.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out! Our installer automatically adds an exception to the firewall for HL, but if you're running additional security or antivirus software, you may need to add an exception for HL manually.
