Hi all, I'm a pretty big fan of the spell compendium and magic item compendiums from 3.5 and I was pretty excited to import the spell compendium a while ago but I'd like to get some progress made on the magic item compendium as well.

I found some old threads here:
http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=10208&page=3
and
http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=44984
(http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=44984)but they're a couple years old now and it doesn't seem like much progress was made.

Given the complexity of creating them all as functional items I'm really looking for a way to just import them as items at all. As a DM I really only need the Name, Description, Cost, and Slot - and even Slot isn't really necessary if that makes the task more difficult.

Essentially I'd like to port them from the 3.5 version to the Pathfinder database, preserving names descriptions and cost so they become searchable and can be added to the npc so they'll be printed to the PDF stat sheet I'll use to run the encounter. Leafing through the book/pdf before creating every encounter is just too time consuming when I might just be looking for any item that adds some thematic twist.

Does anyone have a method to batch import the items and descriptions into a Pathfinder file?
The previous threads mentioned using a perl script but I know next to nothing of perl so writing something myself isn't feasible.
If it hasn't been done yet and someone wanted to devote some time to this I do paint miniatures well and I'd be happy to trade time spent painting for them.

Yea, I spent some time trying to work out a translator script but gave up after a week or so. This systems code base is not exactly an easy one to work with as from one game type to another damn near everything is done differently.
