View Full Version : Here is an annoying little problem in L5R

In L5R, the Otaku family existed from Imperial (first release) up to Spirit
Wars... They then became the Utaku family, since Otaku is a somewhat
derrogatory term in Japanese.

So, once the old sets are converted, everyone version of Otaku Kamoko is going
to have to be made equivalent to Utaku Kamoko to avoid any problems with
collapsing, correct?

You could just take the last printing of Otaku X and make it equivalent to
Utaku X, and I think that all the versions would successfully merge together...
or would they? Actually, to be sure you would have to do all of them anyway,
since the Otaku card that links to the Utaku cards could possibly be filtered
out by the user.

Here's another:

When I am managing inventory, I see the artist name appear twice in the Info
Box.

I don't see the same thing on my system.

Could you do one thing for me?

Copy the entire l5r directory, then go into the copy and delete the core.cvz
file. Now run CV and select the version of L5R in the copy directory.

Do you still see the problem?

As I have entered no inventory, I just deleted core.cvz from my L5R
directory. Doing that, yes, I still see a double-up for artist names.

The artist name is always auto-included in the info region. If you include
it again in the view (via the definition file), it will appear twice. This
is most likely the behavior that is occurring. And it ought to be in the
Kit docs, so please let me know if it is missing so I can get it added.

Thanks, Rob

I fixed this once before, I thought. However, I seem to have re-introduced it
at some point... not sure why, but I suspect it was when I was trying to pull
all my data off of my ailing desktop and move it to my laptop.

It is corrected now, and should be in the next update.

Since I ran the corrected version at some point, *my* view does not have the
artist, and CV remembers that, I guess.
