That's the intent.

I know what you mean. I have five LE MWDA figs that are set aside. It annoys
me.

But CCG promos??

What's the WK link?

This was my other WK question: When will oversized figs be available in the WK data files? To make things simpler, you could just have "Oversized" listed as a set in each game, and have all the oversized figs for that game listed in there.

And to be clear, it's not just Heroclix LEs and promos that need to be added to their respective data files. Mechwarrior and Mage Knight need to be added as well, not to mention CCG promos and such. Also, they need to be designated as LE or promo in the
inventory as well as normal view.

Also, the sort by name/rank thing needs to be fixed in MW along with HC. Its already fixed in MK, but the MK files need the rarity fixed for a LOT of the figs.

Oh, and there is even info for LE and promo figs that have already been released on the official WK site along with the Realms sites.

Absolutely! CCG promo cards must be included for all available data
sets as they are playable cards and very useful when building decks.

Oh, sheesh, the way I read it, I thought you meant WizKids CCG promos.

You'll notice that the MND files and the WH40K files have promos in them (I
am worknig the Wh40K files now to pull the promos into a separate release).

The Doomtown stuff is also almost done; I am waiting on some help from a
fan. It has all the promos.

I'll have to check with Kuni Testsu. Certainly I can help ensure the files
are complete, what with having a complete set of pre-gold. I'd love ot be
able to port my L5R into CV.

Jim Williamson included the Doomtrooper Promotional cards in his data
files and for those completists of us, it's nice to have. I plan on
putting all my Doomtown and LBS and OTE promos in if the official
files don't have them.

While I'm at it, where is the pre-Gold Edition L5R cards on the
pecking order of things to do? And is anyone assigned to do them?
(Something I might move up on MY personal calendar of events.)

Thanks!!

To be honest, it is on the queue, but not the highest priority for me at the
moment. AEG does not have the data, and I just don't have the time at the
moment to do work necessary to add all the data for the older card sets. I am
in a crunch in my job at the moment, making all the data entry difficult.

If someone wants to provide me with a data file of tab separated entries for a
given set, It will greatly facilitate adding it to the data files. If someone
can convince one of the big card engines to provide the data in that format, I
can have a data file done in a couple of days.

It will go faster if the Field order is as follows:

Name, Card Type, Faction, Force, Chi, Gold Generated, Honor Requirement, Gold
Cost, Personal Honor, Focus, Card Text, Flavor Text, Rarity, Artist

I'll work on it.

Sorry about that. I had intended to have them by now, but reality has jumped in
the way. Keeping up with the new sets for Warlord and L5R has been the best I
could manage at the moment.

Better be careful, he may hold you to that :)

In fact, if you want, I will send you the L5R spreadsheet if you have Excel. it
is pretty automated at this point, so all you really have to do is add new sets
to the spreadsheet and then run the macro.

If you want to take over maintaining the data, I will give you a hand with code
support if you need it.

Sorry, I should have directed that to Ed anyway. That would be within his job
description, I think :)

Sorry, Ed.

That would be great, Ed. I have to admit, without the pre-Gold cards
in there, the L5R data files are pretty much useless to me right now
as that's where I have the majority of my cards. I was all psyched to
see L5R as one of the supported games for CardVault until I saw it
only covered the very recent sets.

It would be greatly appreciated. I'll return the favor later by
adding data files for other games if that helps. :)

I would like taking a look at the Excel spreadsheets if you don't
mind. I totally understand about reality getting in the way of
things. :) I can't really help with the NEW cards (I'm WAY behind
there), but it sounds like you have that covered already. I DO have
complete sets from I think the set before Spirit Wars all the way
back to Emerald. Maybe I could try one of the smaller sets as a test
(like one of the Hidden Emperor or Scorpion Clan sets) and see how it
goes?

Does anyone know if Akodo Andy still maintains his Tainted Lion
spoiler site? That would be great place to maybe look for text
spoiler data. I'll look into over the weekend, check some old links I
have.

Thanks again,
Doc

Whoops! One more thing I forgot to mention. Send me the Excel file as you
complete sets so I can add it to the release, since I have the L5R author ID
right now... unless you want to take over the whole thing, that is :) That way
I can give them a final once-over and then add them to the next release.

Sure.

I am sending you the macros that includes Spirit Wars as an example of how the
data looks.

Instructions are included in the zip file.

If you need Gold Edition card IDs, you can get them from Card Vault. If you
need help, let me know and I will try to give you a hand.

Go to www.deathseaker.com - that is Andy's new site. You can find pointers to
various L5R search engines that have all the cards in them.

Yeah, I was planning on doing that anyway. I didn't want to enter
like 500 cards and find out I was doing it wrong. :)

Porbably going to start with Spirit Wars and work backwards. One set
at a time. :)

Spirit Wars is already done... or do you mean "the set just before SW"?

If you don't believe me, then just filter for the SW set only :)
