Hi, I'm new to these parts and to Hero Lab. I typically use Character Builder for my 4e characters, but recently got HL for my Pathfinder characters, based on a friend's recommendations.

I just downloaded the 4e/Savage Worlds authoring kit and am running the ddidownloader.exe program. My understanding is that HL will do the one thing CB doesn't seem to handle too well - house rules.

With that in mind, I was wondering if I might get a brief tutorial on how to create new content for use with HL for 4e. In particular, I would be interested in races, paragon paths, and deities. If there's somewhere to look that I'm not aware of, please let me know.

Thanks for your help and assistance.

I don't have auth kit, but I imagine it is similar to pathfinder data.

If so, just go into editor, and go to the tab for the feature you want to add:
Like feat. Then click new(copy) and choose a similar feat, then make the changes you wish.

You can also modify existing data, by adding a copy of a feature then changing the "replace Id" field with the Id of the feature you wish to modify.
