Bracers of Armor and Amulet of Mighty Fists

In Pathfinder, an amulet of mighty fists can have special melee weapon abilities and bracers of armor can have special armor abilities (but only those priced as a +X bonus.) The bracers must have at least a +1 bonus to have special abilities added, but the amulet does not.

Right now, neither of these items allow special abilities to be added. Would it be possible to add this feature?

That has been mentioned a couple of times. They said it is on their to do list. I think the most recent mention of it came up in this thread.
